CVS Health IT team is seeking a qualified candidate for a API Services Technical Lead that is responsible for solutioning and delivering the implementation of multiple API service offerings. This role will create an API framework, bring existing APIs into that framework, and lead introduction of new APIs. Additionally, they will collaborate with product and other teams across Enterprise Digital to enable effective use of the APIs in a Devops and CI/CD environment. To support the Business of APIs, the role will build into API Solutions the statistics and trends to forecast growth of the APIs.

We are looking for a Senior Technical Engineer who can provide hands-on delivery with a team of developers for the CVS Health API Management function.
Looking for this position to support technology evaluation, architecture, and design with strong focus on cloud-hosting, platform services, APIs, Google Cloud Platform, Oracle Cloud Platform, Azure Platform or AWS Platform.
Work with a team of experienced API developers
Identify, build, and manage common reusable components/services in support of APIs
Drive strategies to move from a solely on-prem environment to a hybrid cloud including public cloud provider (Google, Oracle or Azure).
Identify, maintain and ensure best-practice paradigms are used in all systems. Provide solution recommendations
Collaborate with IT Leadership on Technical Strategy.
Perform detailed architectural reviews of new enterprise-level applications
Influence and inspire technical leads servicing CVS Health BUs.
Create technical documentations and presentations for varied audiences.
Develop engineering practices of TDD, Automated Validation steps of CI/CD Platform, Security Best Practices, Performance Testing, CI/CD Pipeline and Mentor through Paired Programming
3+ years of IT experience architecting and designing enterprise-scale web and/or mobile apps.
2+ years experience with API Gateways and managing private and public APIs
2+ years experience in Apigee
1+ years experience being a lead within an Agile team and/or senior software developers
3+ Years doing Automated Validation – development and executing
- Healthcare experience, Retail and Mail Order Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Benefits Management Experience preferred
- 5 years of IT experience preferred
- 3+ years of experience as a solution architect role for a Fortune 100 Company preferred
- Experience with large-scale distributed systems using eCommerce, Portal, Application Servers, ESB, message queues or other related technologies in a mobile/portal environment
- Experience with modeling business process, technical components, application architecture and data architecture concepts and governance, including acting as a design authority for information and data within projects and programs is essential for this role
- Mastery of design considerations for high volume transaction systems.
Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent work experience required. Masters Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems preferred
