Position Summary:

The Cloud Services Engineer is responsible for innovative problem-solving associated with the implementation, management, and support of the company cloud and hybrid infrastructure with an emphasis on performance, security, and automation.

What you will be doing:

  • Provide system administration and operational support of cloud and hybrid workloads, including virtualization, networking, storage, automation, data protection, security, and routine maintenance

  • Develop and build solutions architecture and evaluate architectural alternatives for private, public, and hybrid cloud models, including IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, and other cloud services

  • Ensure technology solutions are implemented for high availability and performance to meet service level agreements, functional requirements, and disaster recovery readiness for business continuity

  • Contribute to the cloud architecture vision and technical roadmaps and promote cloud transformation and improvements

  • Provide technical expertise and ownership in the diagnosis and resolution of an issue, including the determination and provisioning of workaround solutions or escalation to service owners

  • Configure, implement and support an automated workflow for cloud and virtual environment provisioning

  • Develop and maintain a library of detailed configuration and deployment documentation

The education and experience they’re looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, professional experience, and certifications

  • Minimum of 5 years experience managing a Windows and VMware enterprise infrastructure, with responsibility in the areas of networking, storage, messaging, and database management

  • Minimum of 1-year hands-on experience supporting Azure, with a strong understanding of core Azure services, Azure workloads, security, and governance

  • Professional certifications such as Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA), Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE), Azure Fundamentals, Azure Administrator Associate are desirable

  • Demonstrated experience using PowerShell, Azure Active Directory, Azure NSF, Azure Site Recovery, Azure Resource Manager templates, and deploying enterprise workloads to Azure

What skills you should have:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Windows Server operating systems from Windows Server 2012 to present

  • In-depth technical knowledge of Active Directory Domain Services principles and best practices to complement expertise in Azure Active Directory

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Azure hybrid cloud architecture and implementation features (OS, multi-tenancy, virtualization, orchestration, elastic scalability)

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an ability to clearly articulate technical information to non-technical audiences

  • Customer-focused with a commitment to maintaining a high quality of work performed, and a drive for continuous learning

  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to comprehend simple and complex technical issues and translate them into solutions that create value

  • Outstanding collaboration and team-building skills

  • This position may require participation in an on-call rotation for after-hours support

  • This position may require overnight travel within the United States, up to 25%
