The Data Analyst will play a crucial role in our new expansion phase over the coming years. They are looking for a confident individual, who enjoys working with data and has good analytical and reporting skills. They want someone who understands logic and can be both: a pro-active, independent, self-starter who is ready to jump in and get things done AND work alongside innovative teams with evolving reporting requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Contribute to the understanding of key patterns in customer life cycles, including acquisition, retention and lifetime value
  • Understand key metrics of the business, design appropriate reporting and be able to explain complex methodologies and results in a way that allows non-technical stakeholders to make decisions
  • Draw down reports from mySQL to write syntaxes and export into MS Excel as well as use MS Excel to manipulate data rows entering the 1000s in total, drilling down using VLookUps and Pivot Tables to enable you to present the figures in a recognisable format
  • Collaborate extensively with stakeholders, management, and software development team members to ensure that your proposed solutions meet business needs, permit valid interpretations, and lead to practical enhancements
  • Review and evaluate different Business Intelligence tools, choose which ones are most suitable for required reporting necessities and ensure that it is setup correctly
  • Be able to debug and correct any data/report issues
  • Document the technical details of your work

REQUIREMENTS

  • 2-3 years of successful experience of working with raw data (data cleaning, data visualization and modelling)
  • Strong MS Excel skills (Pivot Tables, V Look Ups etc)
  • Previous solid data analytical experience using SQL and MySQL Workbench
  • Proven record of strong hands-on skills in sourcing, cleaning, manipulating and analysing large volumes of data
  • Track record of working with mainstream BI packages such as Tableau, Zoho Analytics, Power BI, etc.
  • Experience in working autonomously, taking the initiative and responsibility for their own work. Highly self-motivated and able to manage your own time effectively
  • Ability to collaborate well with colleagues to truly understand business & user goals and come up with informed solutions
  • Have the confidence and ability to communicate the insight found within reports through effective story-telling
  • Proactive, independent, self-starter who is ready to jump in and get things done
  • Willingness to question and learn
  • Attention to detail

PACKAGE

  • This is a mid-level role and you will be compensated well to reflect your performance
  • This role is located in our London office
