The commercial publishing team at Emergent Entertainment are embarking on a data-led transformation, and we need a skilled and passionate Data Analyst to accelerate our journey.The ideal candidate will have a genuine love for data and a proven ability to collate information from diverse sources, perform insightful analysis, and create actionable reports that drive business critical decisions. Expertise in scripting to automate and streamline processes would be a welcomed strength.While game industry experience is a positive attribute, it’s not a requirement. Responsibilities

  • Execute quantitative and qualitative exploration on a variety of data streams, including sales, financial, marketing, and gaming, to generate actionable insights for the team
  • Create and distribute reports and presentations on sales, financial, and marketing performance to in-house stakeholders
  • Lead initiatives to enhance the process and automation of data collection, transformation, and reporting
  • Leverage statistical and predictive modelling, along with other data analysis techniques, to extract meaningful insights from data
  • Comprehend the needs and expectations of stakeholders to provide tailored data insights
  • Foster a collaborative, inclusive environment that encourages open communication, trust, and collective problem-solving among team members
  • Encourage a culture within the organisation that is data-centric and encourages data-based decision making

Requirements

  • 3+ years professional experience in a related field or demonstrative expertise working with data. A degree or equivalent in a relevant field is desirable (finance, mathematics, sales or computer science)
  • Exceptional analytical and statistical skills, with high attention to detail
  • Collaborative team player with experience working constructively within a busy team
  • Organised and meticulous, with good written, visual, and verbal communication skills
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office, in particular Excel
  • Proficiency in business intelligence visualisation tools such as Powerbi, Tableau or similar tools
  • Expert knowledge of SQL, Python or other programming languages for the setup of data management structures (including API’s) and data analysis
  • Interest in games is a plus
  • As a remote-first company we require strong ability to work independently
