As a member of agilon health’s Technology Group, step into a lead role on an expanding data engineering team to build foundational architecture for their cloud-based data services from the cloud data lake, data ingestion pipelines for bulk, batching, and streaming use cases to data engineering and transformation modules, all running on AWS. Job Functions:

The data architect will work with agilon health’s cloud data warehouse platform in a lead role on data architecture, modeling, merging data process, and overall design methodology end to end.

Architect and design AWS based data pipelines for ingestion and transformation of data at scale

Implement, operationalize and scale their cloud-based data lake to meet critical business and customer needs

Responsible for providing design, modeling, development, validation, and process improvement for the evolving cloud data warehouse environment at agilon health.

The key responsibility for developing a process for data management, data access, and data storage models.

Responsible for support of the SQL environment, performance improvement, capacity planning, cloud cost management, and recommends best practices for query optimization & throughput on the cloud data warehouse
Qualifications:
-
8+ years of hands-on experience with architecting, designing, and implementing end to end data services from ingestion, transformation, and access in a cloud environment

Hands-on experience working with cloud data warehouse/data lake solutions (Snowflake, Redshift, Google BigQuery, or equivalent platform.

Experience in relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MS SQL Server, Oracle).
-
Experience working with semi-structured and unstructured data (JSON, XML, etc)
-
Proficiency in data modeling, very good understanding of data management concepts such as 3NF, Dimensional and their specific applications

Strong software engineering experience and deep familiarity with programming languages such as Python, Java, Node.js, or equivalent.

Deep experience working with at least one public cloud solution AWS, Azure, or GCP.

Experience working on BI platforms such as Talend, Informatica, Qlik, Tableau, or equivalent solutions.

Preferred experience working in the scrum or agile teams & understanding of CI/CD pipelines.

Preferred experience acting or working in a BI consultant role, comfortable working with business leadership across corporate verticals to translate business requirements into data architecture.

Preferred experience with health care data sets

Undergraduate degree from an accredited 4-year institution.
