As an Enterprise DevOps Engineer, you will manage, automate and build a continuous integration and deployment solutions for applications across various technology platforms. You will work collaboratively with software engineers to deploy and operate systems, help automate and streamline operations and processes, and troubleshoot issues within multiple environments. In addition, you will work with DevOps methodologies, specifically around Continuous Integration and Continuous Testing using Git, Jenkins, Artifactory, Selenium, Deploy tools, Sonar Qube, Fortify, and Jmeter; as well as with Docker container and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
Duties and Responsibilities
Analyzes increasingly complex systems specifications of existing programs to determine requirements.
Analyzes, designs, codes, debugs, integrates and tests increasingly complex software application solutions for systems.
Champions and enhances organizational initiatives by positively influencing and supporting change management and/or departmental/enterprise initiatives within assigned area(s) of responsibility.
Communicates effectively with internal stakeholders and management.
Consults and/or participates in the requirements, design and coding walkthroughs to ensure the development of quality solutions.
Consults/Analyze on more complex assignments and/or projects for his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility.
Creates increasingly complex technical specifications from business requirements/business specifications.
Defines detailed development tasks, task dependencies and estimates to complete work.
Determines how existing applications, systems, databases, interfaces and/or hardware can interact to meet new and emerging enterprise initiatives.
Documents increasingly complex programs and procedures.
Identifies and recommends process improvements that significantly reduce workloads or improve quality for his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility.
Identifies potential application solutions by understanding increasingly complex business/technical problems and opportunities.
Investigates and resolves increasingly complex problems including providing support for production systems in a timely manner.
Maintains knowledge of current and emerging developments/trends for assigned area(s) of responsibility, assesses the impact, and collaborates with management to incorporate new trends and developments in current and future solutions.
Partners with internal stakeholders to ensure that systems are designed, developed and implemented from a business point of view.
Prepares and/or generates test data.
Proactively identifies problems and presents/develops solutions
Provides input and validates increasingly complex project plans, test plans, and implementation plans.
Researches, develops, implements and maintains increasingly complex business application solutions.
Serves as a resource to team members and applicable internal/external stakeholders on more complex assignments/projects for his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility.
Tests increasingly complex program changes thoroughly to ensure accuracy.
Education
4 Year/Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelors) Minimum Required in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Information Systems, Information Technology or Computer Engineering or equivalent work experience
Experience
- 3- 5 years’ of experience with DevOps methodologies, specifically around Continuous Integration and Continuous Testing using Git, Jenkins, Artifactory, Selenium, deploy tools, SonarQube, Fortify, and Jmeter.
- Building & deploying apps on AWS or other elastic cloud Environments and using Chef, Ansible, CFT tools that support infrastructure as code.
- Experience with Docker container and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
- Experience using Bash, Python or Perl scripting.
- Design and implement build, deployment, and configuration management
- Build and test automation tools for infrastructure provisioning
- Handle code deployments in all environments
- Monitor metrics and develop ways to improve
- Provide technical guidance and educate team members and coworkers on development and operations
- Brainstorm for new ideas and ways to improve development delivery
- Manage CI and CD tools with team
