Entry Level Data Scientist – Workday Analytics 2042 views

As a Data Scientist at IBM, you will help transform their clients’ data into tangible business value by analyzing information, communicating outcomes, and collaborating on product development. Work with Best in Class open-source and visual tools, along with the most flexible and scalable deployment options. Whether it’s investigating patient trends or weather patterns, you will work to solve real-world problems for the industries transforming how they live.

As a member of the Analytics, Reporting, and Dashboards team you will be expected to deliver increased positive user experience for IBM users of Workday by the development and maintenance of enhanced reports and reporting technology. You will act on new change requests as well as production incidents. Aside from production support will you also be expected to lead analytics and reporting side projects, such as enhanced dashboards and external data reporting.

Job Duties

  • Provide production support by developing or maintaining Workday Reports and Dashboards
  • Develop enhanced reporting applications by using Prism Analytics
  • Support the HR client teams, guide them through successful testing, deployment, etc
  • Identify and perform system cleanup activities and report administration
  • Partner with Workday, assess incoming features for internal IBM use

The Team
You will be working with a team of data scientists and software developers on multiple efforts in parallel but under the great collaboration. You will also be interacting with multiple internal IBM teams, such as HR user teams, other technical Workday teams, and also Workday themselves.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • A minimum of 3 years of IT experience
  • Strong analytics skills such as in Excel or SQL
  • Demonstrated communication skills in a customer-facing environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to quickly learn new technology

Preferred Technical And Professional Expertise

  • Workday or Workday report writing experience
  • Demonstrated experience in working with globally diverse teams
