The Machine Learning Platform team develops machine learning services, libraries and tools for massive datasets and streams powering learning and prediction across Oath. They are looking for Head of product to work with them to create novel machine learning platforms enabling efficient large-scale machine learning, and empowering data scientists and engineers to develop solutions easily and quickly, and collaborating with product groups on challenging, high-impact machine learning problems and use cases.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the product from roadmapping and prioritization to execution
  • Shape the vision, mission and strategy of machine learning
  • Provide thought leadership in the usage of machine learning
  • Bring together the internal machine learning community
  • Contribute to big data & machine learning open source projects
  • Drive performance metrics and KPIs for the platform and its impact
  • Explore emerging big data and machine learning software and solutions
  • Identify trends, needs, opportunities and solutions in machine learning
  • Guide customers from their apparent requirements to better ones
  • Help the users to solve their machine learning problems

Requirements

  • BSc, MSc or PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, or comparable knowledge
  • Prior strong expertise and experience in machine learning and data science preferred
  • Proven track record in product management and leadership for technical platforms
  • Strong analytics background with a bias toward using data to drive business decisions
  • Excellent decision-making ability under pressure with tight timelines
  • Strong product sense with an ability to envision technology solutions with market and user needs
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
