We work with leading Fortune 500 employers, health plans and provider groups. We transform and enhance claims, eligibility and a wide variety of other data inputs into a high-value decision-support asset for our clients. Over 7,500 users at more than 100 customers use our web-enabled analytic platform for healthcare business intelligence. HDMS is seeking a Lead Data Scientist to join our Customer Experience Team.

The Lead Data Scientist is responsible for helping HDMS meet and exceed its corporate goals and expectations. You will be responsible for two distinct areas of responsibility: (1) leveraging their expertise in designing and executing on the analytic plans for key employer clients and offering support for other HDMS account teams; (2) leading the relationship and project management of key employer clients, and will work with an established team composed of clinical, analytic, data science, and customer experience resources.

In this role, the Lead Data Scientist supports frequent calls and onsite visits with customers through project management of ongoing and new initiatives with the client. You will develop and deliver on clients’ analytic agendas based on business needs, presents observations and recommendations to clients, coordinates with a diverse, interdisciplinary internal team supporting client analytics. You will also interface and collaborate with benefit consultants and other advisors, as needed.

Furthermore, you will:

Coordinate with Data Operations in identifying and researching client data related issues

Be responsible for client issue management and issue triage, overseeing data quality assurance for clients

Contribute to successful and timely recurring data refreshes

Serve as first-line product expert to clients

Identify opportunities for additional revenue by developing additional analytic use cases.

To be successful, you will utilize your excellent project management and organizational skills, plus your strong communications and analytical skills to distill complex findings into simple explanations. A demonstrated passion for teamwork and solving business problems will also be key to your success.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

Minimum: $ 95,000

Maximum: $ 209,000

Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location.

Required Qualifications

10+ years of complex analytic experience required, preferable using large claims databases to identify cost, utilization, and population health trends.

Experience In Employer-sponsored Healthcare Required.

Experience using analytic solutions for very large databases required.

Experience In Consultative Selling Required.

Strong relationship management experience with complex, flagship client relationships required.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with non-claims data sources within the employer plan-sponsored ecosystem preferred. Willingness to learn new analytic methods.

Graduate Degree or Professional licensure preferred.
