PURPOSE OF POSITION
A Machine Learning/Machine Vision Intern uses a wide array of statistical knowledge and programming skills or tools to train models which can process, classify, and interpret data to make predictions or reveal insights.
Major Responsibilities
A strong Machine Learning/Machine Vision Intern has the ability to:
- Perform AI related research work
- Introduce state of the art deep learning technologies to GE applications
- Cooperate with other researchers in understanding the needs and defining the solutions
- Implement algorithms mostly in Python environments
- Complete research work in the lab in fields such as machine learning, deep learning, and computer vision
- Complete work in lab that includes NDT imaging (X-ray, Ultrasound, Phased Array, etc.), process modeling, automated inspection, operations optimization, and predictive applications
REQUIREMENTSEducation Required
- BSc. MSc. or Ph.D. student in computer science EE. ME, BE, Physics, or related fields working in machine learning, deep learning, and/or computer vision
Skills & Knowledge Required:
- Experience in Python, TensorFlow/ PyTorch, on Linux and Windows platforms
- Experience in implementing high-performance algorithms.
- Independent and innovative with the ability to understand requirements
- Ability to explore, evaluate, and select relevant technologies and implementations
- Current knowledge of the field and recent advances
- Strong communication skills
