Apple’s Human Interface Devices team is looking for a Machine Learning Scientist with in-depth knowledge of ML/DL, data science, human physiology and statistical signal processing.
Key Qualifications
5+ years of experience in machine learning algorithm development on real-world problems
Strong fundamentals in statistical problem solving, algorithm design, and model development
Proficient in at least one prototyping language such as Python, with experience using machine learning libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch
Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to distill complex analysis and concepts into concise explanations
Experience with health sensors and knowledge of human physiology is a plus
Hands-on experience with data engineering tools (e.g. MapReduce, Spark) is a plus
Description
This is a key position on a team supporting R&D of health features for millions of Apple customers. You will be responsible for implementing ground breaking statistical and machine learning methods to develop new ML strategies for extracting insights from large-scale health data and wearable devices.
End-to-end project ownership is encouraged, from initial problem formulation through data pipeline development, algorithm architecture, study/data design and end-user performance modeling.
Education & Experience
PhD or equivalent experience in an engineering, scientific or quantitative field
