The Johnson & Johnson Supply Chain Digital & Analytics (“JJSC DNA”) group is seeking a Manager of Data Engineering to support modeling and analytics work needed to support the Johnson & Johnson Operating System (JJOS) activities as well as general business improvement opportunities. analytics.


  • Work with business to get understanding of their data requirements
  • Own end to end data and visualization applications
  • Help Business improve process and help business to make data driven decisions
  • Guide business units towards utilization and implementation of correct cloud computing environments.
  • Set up and manage cloud computing data via (AWS/MS Azure).


  • Advanced degree in STEM or related discipline, e.g. statistics, operations research, computer science, mathematics; computer science degree highly preferred
  • Proven ability to understand massive disparate data sets and transform the information into clear insights for the business.
  • Strong experience in one or BI software tools like Tableau, Qlik, Power BI, etc.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field with 3-5 years of work experience in relevant field OR.
  • Master’s in relevant field with 1-3 years of relevant work experience in data analysis or related field.
  • Basic understanding of machine learning methods.
  • Strong demonstrated understanding of data lifecycle required around data ingestion (ingest data from disparate systems into cloud computing environment), data contextualization (merging large data sets, developing algorithms to merge and clean data); data insights and analytics is required.
  • Familiarity with different types of databases and business applications of distributed computing (e.g. MapReduce, HIVE, HADOOP).
  • Demonstrated experience in setting up and managing data in cloud computing environment (AWS or MS Azure) highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with large datasets, and understanding of data analysis workflows is required.

  • Effective verbal/written communication & data presentation skills, including an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams
  • Ability to travel up to 15% of the time, including international travel.
