The team focuses on optimizing Wayfair’s merchandising processes by identifying and defining a problem, partnering with data scientists to build predictive models, integrating these models into workflows, and continuously optimizing for scale. They focus on leveraging this and related technology to help internal teams make data-informed, customer-centric decisions faster.
What You’ll Do

- Serve as a product manager across Merchandising, Data Science, Engineering, and other teams to drive the development and integration of new models
- Partner with key stakeholders to understand strategic gaps, and develop innovative solutions to generate new processes and insights
- Develop innovative analytical methodologies to answer strategic business questions across the organization
- Help guide the wider organization to prioritize high-impact analysis to better understand the Wayfair customer
- Collaborate closely with data scientists and engineers to develop processes and production model designs
- Relentlessly challenge the status quo in their processes to drive efficiency, speed, quality, and cost savings
- Work closely with the team manager(s) to develop and follow project roadmaps, including key activities, stakeholder engagement, and milestones
- Manage a small team of product managers/analysts
What You’ll Need

- Bachelor’s degree with a distinguished academic record, ideally in a quantitative field (math, economics, statistics, physics, engineering, etc.)
- 5+ years of work experience in an analytical and/or technical role
- A blend of strong technical aptitude and business acumen with a passion for solving complex business problems with data and technology
- Project management skillsets including organized and process-oriented with strong communication skills and the talent to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Positive, enthusiastic, and people-oriented with a strong work ethic, especially with people management skills
- SQL familiarity, including motivation to learn and develop the skill-set
