Duties : Apply the principles of software engineering to architect, design and develop web-based, back-end or database applications across our eCommerce platforms. Build and maintain highly scalable systems. Perform design and full stack development to create reusable application components. Design and develop technical stack using technologies such as PHP, JavaScript, HTML, Moustache, Handlebars, SQL Server or related applications. Interface with product managers and stakeholders to perform requirements gathering. Oversee and perform code development, testing and production deployment to create applications that meet business needs. Mentor teammates on subject matter knowledge and engineering best practices. Mentor and coach junior engineers in design and perform code review. Position is fixed location based in Boston office; however, telecommuting from a home office may also be allowed.
Requirements : Requires a Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering (any field), Information Systems, Information Science, Information Technology and Management, or a directly related field and two (2) years of experience in design and development using technologies including PHP, HTML, JavaScript, SQL, or related technologies.
Experience must include one (1) year in each of the following (experience may be gained concurrently):
Will accept a Bachelor’s degree plus five (5) years of described experience.
Experience may be gained before, during, or after issuance of advanced degree.
