Multiple Openings. Software Engineer III (Storefront Engineering/Catalog Data Integrity) for Wayfair LLC in Boston, MA to Architect and build scalable web applications using PHP, JavaScript, React/Redux, HTML, CSS, and SQL to enable product addition and maintenance; write background processes and windows applications to supplement the creation of Wayfair’s catalog using C#/.Net; build robust database structures to efficiently store catalog information and help other teams utilize it effectively; manage and mentor engineers and perform code review to ensure code quality. Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus two (2) years of experience performing design and development using PHP, SQL, and JavaScript or, alternatively, a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) and five (5) years of experience as performing design and development using PHP, SQL, and JavaScript. One year of experience must include: Performing backend development using PHP & SQL; Performing front end web development using JavaScript, React/Redux, HTML and SCSS; Designing and implementing software solutions to problems of scalability and maintainability; Performing version control using GIT; Defining test plans and performing unit testing; Performing SQL database development including designing queries, triggers and stored procedures, and performance tuning; Interfacing with business product leaders and engineers to gather requirements and translate requirements into system design; and Building web services and background jobs using C# and .NET.
